It’s been a great last three weeks for Owen! He’s had a few waves of nausea but nothing like his first round back in June/July. He has cherished his time with his parents and has enjoyed their company here. Owen asked his father to renew our vows and that is what we did on Thursday night. His parents fly back home today.
It’s been 16 years of marriage for me and Owen. And it is so amazing to look back to where we were then. We had such different goals…. The Munchkin was still a baby herself. I would have never thought that we would be grandparents. I also never thought we would see the world. What blessings we have been bestowed! Owen and I have learned this year how important it is to take advantage of every day, to cherish every one of our loved ones.
Temperatures are slowly coming down (although it was 95 yesterday) and the neighbors are putting up their Halloween decorations.
I had my procedure done…. A dilation of maxillary sinus with a turbinoplasty. And wow I can breath! Where was this 8 years ago??? I am still recovering and should be 100% in a month.
I really don’t like the months leading up to a presidential election. Seems like the ugly of people come out and they feel justified in being ugly.
We have gone away from working together, compromising.
Owen starts his next round of chemo on the 25th. With a clean MRI, we are motivated to beat this thing. His next MRI is at the end of October.
After 6 years of searching, we have finally found the litter box that Poppy likes. Enter the Litter Robot. What a phenomenal piece of machinery. Totally worth it. Now Owen won’t threaten to throw Poppy out every couple of weeks for taking a dump in front of the box. Big win in our household! Truth be told, Poppy is Owen’s girl. She gets so excited to see him that she won’t stay still. They bring us joy.
We have have beautiful sunsets here. This was the other night.
