Today is Owen’s last day of chemo for this round. He said he woke up feeling a little nauseated. Hopefully, that will go away soon.
This Christmas will be delayed for us. The Munchkin and I have work schedules that make it hard to have our family enjoy a full day of festivities. So we are looking to have our Christmas gathering in a few weeks. I’ll keep the tree up so that the Muffin can see it.
I was peeling potatoes and managed to slice a quarter of my nail off. That was not fun. Owen says I’m banned from peeling for a little bit. I’m all for that!
Tonight we start our Christmas movie run. First movie up: Carry On. Says it’s supposed to replace Die Hard as the greatest Christmas movie. Let’s see…
Owen had a big day yesterday. His neurosurgeon had referred Owen to a facility that can medically certify him to drive. So you know he was a little kid on Christmas morning ready to go. I had heard a few of the tests that Owen had to complete and they were around short term memory. Pretty challenging stuff.
I really didn’t understand Occupational Health until this year. I am extremely grateful for this profession. So at the end of his couple hour examination, Owen came out the winner. The occupational health specialist is writing a report to Owen’s neurosurgeon for the thumbs up to drive. Owen is so excited.
I know I wasn’t in fear because of Owen’s abilities. It’s the stupid people on the road that shouldn’t have a license that cause me great concern. Yes, I said stupid people. Anyone that risks safety to get ahead of one car is stupid.
2024 is almost done. What a year.
I’m thinking about cutting 12 inches off of my hair.
